Acoustical Services
CadnaA (Computer Aided Noise Abatement) is the software for the calculation
and presentation, assessment and prediction of noise exposure and
air pollutant impact. Whether your objective is to study the noise immission
of an industrial plant, of a mall including a parking lot, of a new road or
railway scheme, or even of entire towns and urbanized areas: CadnaA is
designed to handle all these tasks.
CadnaA is a transparent and easy to use platform for
everything from simple checks up to extremely complex
and scientiic investigations. The clear separation of the
3D-model in its natural environment and the applied calculation
method offers lexibility unique in this area. It is even
possible to use the same model when noise levels are calculated
based on different national standards without any
need to modify the model.
CadnaA Standard includes all noise
types (industry, road and railway) and
all available standards and guidelines
for each noise type as well as a multi-
lingual user interface.
CadnaA Basic comes also with all noise
types but with one standard or guideline
for each noise type and the user
interface is limited to one of the available
languages.
With CadnaA Modular all noise types
can be selected separately and are
combined with one of the available
standards or guidelines for each
noise type.
Acoustiblok In The Field
Acoustiblok Inc. recently performed an acoustical assessment of
offshore oil platforms at the request of a Fortune 100 oil
company. Extremely high noise levels have become a great concern
regarding health and safety of workers in this industry. The
Acoustiblok All Weather Sound Panel will no doubt be part of our
recommendation as well as mechanical vibration isolation.
Acoustiblok is using the new Cadna-A Acoustical Prediction
software in conjunction within field measurements to develop
solutions to these Acoustical problems.
An oil platform is one of the most hostile environments on Earth,
with corrosive salt spray, high winds, extremes of hot and cold,
and of course petrochemicals and solvents - and any exposed material that
is easily damaged by impact will not last long. Designed for harsh
environments and industrial applications, Acoustiblok All Weather Sound
Panels are the ideal solution for oil platform noise control.
Acoustiblok provides rental of laboratory quality acoustical test equipment,
with technical support, to our customers who require on-site acoustical testing
to validate or compare sound abatement installations. Contact
Acoustiblok for pricing and availability of this service.
For making footfall noise transmission measurements in
buildings as set out in International and National Standards
A lightweight and self contained sound source for making
measurements to the latest versions of the international
standards. (ISO140, EN 20140, ASTM E492, etc.)
May be configured for use on standard dimension staircase
treads and fitted with rubber tipped hammers for use on surfaces
with a decorative finish
Powered from 230 volt AC main supply.
Five hammers each having a mass of 500 g falling from a height
of 40 mm (adjustable)
Feedback controlled tapping sequence of 10 impacts per second
Dimensions 320 x 725 x 230 mm. Weight 10 kg
The Nor270 is a high power loudspeaker with omnidirectional
characteristics. It fulfils the directional characteristisc
required by the ISO 140-3 Standard and delivers a continuous
sound power level of 120 dB when driven with pink noise over the
frequency range 50-6300Hz via the Nor280 power amplifier.
A version with even higher output is available under the name
Nor270H. The sound power level here is 123 dB when driven with
pink noise over the frequency range 50-6300 Hz using the Nor280
Power amplifier.
The dimensions are 405 mm diameter and a weight of 14,5 kg. The
high power version (Nor270H) has a weight of 19 kg.
Source signals may be provided by the Sound Analyser Nor121,
the Sound Level meter Nor118, the external MLS generator Nor257
or the internal Noise Generator in the Nor280.
This power amplifier is the 4th generation of specially designed units
for building acoustic measurements from Norsonic. It is less than
half the size and weight, but twice as powerful as its
predecessors.
Specially designed for Building Acoustic measurements
Lightweight and rugged construction
Self contained noise generator
500 Wrms output power
Emits 120 dB sound power level in the 50-5000 Hz frequency
range when used with Norsonic dodecahedron loudspeakers types
Nor250 or Nor270
Applications
Sound insulation measurements
Reverberation time measurements
Absorption coefficient measurements
The Nor130 Series of Sound Level Meters are designed and
manufactured to the latest sound level meter standards and
comprises two products. The Nor131 is a Class 1 (precision)
instrument whilst the Nor132 is designed in accordance with the
less accurate Class 2 requirements. Both meters offer the same
features with exception of the detachable preamplifier which is
only available on the Nor131 version.
